My Capsule Closet - Podcast Week 9

Hi All,

I hope you’ve had a gorgeous week and enjoying the summer sunshine we’re having! This week is all about nature and the huge benefit it can have on our overall well being as I sat down with GP and intergrative health expert Dr Lafina Diamandis.

With my brilliant guest Dr Lafina Diamandis

This conversation was so insightful as we discussed numerous issues including burnout, the gut, brain axis and how many of us are struggling to cope in a hyper connected world. Dr Diamandis gave her brilliant insight into how we need to reconnect with nature to reset our nervous systems and how humans are struggling to cope with the digital age as our bodies and minds are still working on primal levels. Lafina discusses the concept of burn out and how the term itself still isn’t fully recognised amongst medics but that it is one of the most common stress related illness that she is seeing more frequently in her practice. I really enjoyed talking to Lafina and so much of our conversation really resonated with me as I often feel happiest and at peace when i’m out in nature, experiencing the elements. I find myself getting easily over stimulated and emotional if i’ve spent too long with tech and so i found the chat so helpful. I really hope you do.

Happy Listening!

Get The Look

This week my look was all about combing easy pieces that can work together or separately. The statement item is this super delicate fine knit cardigan from next, which absolutely screams sunshine, yet is also great for when the weather takes a turn. It would be an excellent addition to your holiday wardrobe as un buttoned it doubles up as a little jacket for alfresco evenings. I’ve teamed it with my super hard working cut off jeans and cream peep toe heels to give the look a little more elevation but these could easily be swapped out for ballet flats if you’re running about.
