The Beauty Of Balance

Well here we are again, in the words of John Lennon “another year over, a new one just one begun”.

I think we can all safely say that 2021 was a mixed bag, whilst we regained some freedoms during the middle part of the year the latter saw us faced with restrictions and cancelled Christmasses again.

But as the New Year signals new beginnings it can be one of the most exciting times of the calendar. It’s a time for hope, for letting go and for clean slates as there’s a freshness in the air and what felt far away in December can often feel so much closer in January.

Your mind is clearer without the Christmas chaos and so it’s a great time to focus on a new journey or goal!

Of course for some people new year is less about change and more about retaining what’s already been gained, either way it’s a time where your energy can really soar as we collectively start another trip around the sun.

There are various things I’m looking forward to in 2022. Firstly getting a bit of balance back into my life is the biggest positive. I absolutely love to really enjoy the festive period and so I spend the whole time enjoying myself and indulging guilt free as I know that January is my time to reset and I really love that too. I like to clear away the sparkle and embrace the minimal elements of winter. I love cleaning out my body with great workouts and wholesome foods and I also cut back on my spending so that there’s a healthier bank balance when the new spring season arrives.

Balance is such a huge thing for me. It’s imperative to our survival….you can’t burn the candle at both ends, you can’t have the yin without the yang and so this time of year is wonderful for breathing new, clean, energy and life into our stale or over indulgent habits. It’s the same with exercise and food I don’t go crazy with either I just have enough to enjoy myself and maintain a relaxed way of life.

Hopefully as we progress through 2022 we might be able to enjoy more of life without restrictions and revisit some of our favourite pre pandemic activities. There’s also some very exciting work projects coming to fruition into the summer of this year but before that we are also busy planning series 6 of our podcast. I really can’t wait to bring more wonderful women and their take on life to your selfcare Sunday sessions.

Anyway I think we can all agree that we are due a little light relief after the last two years and that hopefully 2022 will prove to be just that.

Here’s to all of our new adventures!

Much Love,

Natalie X
