With 2020 being the year of the face mask, it's no surprise we're mixing up our make-up and experimenting with different looks, with a strong focus on eyes!

Make-up artist

Overliner:

You've probably seen this look all over Instagram recently, use any black eyeliner you have in your makeup bag and use it to add abstract lines to a cat eye by adding a clean line just above your crease and right below your lower lash line, this gives the classic cat eye a futuristic, yet '60s vibe. If you're feeling playful, experiment with a colored eyeliner. Bonus points if you match your makeup to your accessories.

White Eyeliner:

White eyeliner technically isn't anything new, however thanks to the “Rain on Me” music video, white eyeliner is staying around for awhile. Try a more wearable take on Gaga’s graphic liner with a white kohl pencil and slick along your top lid and wing out... works perfectly with your lounge wear for a cool girl look. It also helps your eyes look brighter and bigger.

Inner Corner Liner: If the graphic liner trends are too intimidating, ease into it by bringing your usual liner around your inner corner, stopping right after your tear duct on the lower lashes. Any liquid liner with a super precise tip will work, or even a pop of colour near the tear duct for a softer look.

Structured Polished Brows: Brows have passed the phase of natural under plucked and fluffy, but those’ I woke up like this’ brows are over. After the trend of brow lamination gained popularity in the spring, the hairs appear structured and polished and you can easily recreate the look at home. Keep all your hairs in place by using a clear brow gel. I love the ‘Morphe’ Brow Setting Gel.

Berry Lip Colour: We instantly want to reach for the burgundy and dark browns as soon as the Autumn leaves start falling, ”this year consider a rich berry shade for a fresher take on the fall trend. There's plenty of matte lipsticks, Lip liner, lip stains, and tinted balms on the market that won’t completely rub off on your face mask. Try ‘By Terry’ Lip Expert shade Vintage Nude for a beautiful warm berry tone.

Dewy Rosy Skin:

Fresh-faced, rosy hues and dewy skin was seen all over the Autumn/ Winter catwalks at London Fashion week. As the weather gets cooler, your skin can look duller than usual, so this season we want to continue the summer glow into the fall. To do this pop a highlighter onto the high points of your face (cheekbones, brow bones, tip of your nose and Cupid's bow) to beam up your skin. A creamy textured highlighter works best especially if your skin feels dry, try ‘Glossier’ Haloscape Dew Effect Highlighter Stick.

Then really amp up the glow with a creamy blush on the apples of your cheeks, if it suits then blend this blush from your cheeks up to the temples, and underneath your brow bones to give yourself a fresh all-over flush. I love ‘MILK MAKEUP’ Lip & Cheek Cream blush.
