Pink to Party

I recently attended the launch of Brasserie Abode in Manchester and wore this pretty pink dress from Foxiedox.

I predicted earlier in the year that pink was going to be the colour of the season as we saw a lot of it on the SS17 runways and in true fashion form those looks have filtered down to the high street.

Peonie, blush and pastel colours combined with the structured texture of lace create a look that is feminine and pretty and perfect for summer parties and occasions. Its also a great look for a date night as its much softer than its red counterpart (unless that is you're wanting to go all out vixen...in which case go for head to toe scarlett!).

I particularly love the combination of black and pink as its a great alternative to classic monochrome and creates a nostalgic look as it harks back to the elegant yet fun fashions of the 1960's. Who can forget Jackie Kennedy's love affair with pink!

In keeping with this theme I accessorised my dress with delicate black heels from Sophia Webster and my classic black satin clutch from Lanvin. To finish the look I wore my hair half up in a messy, slightly backcombed topknot with volumous loose curls and finished with winged eyeliner and lashes to pay homage to the classic 60's look.
