Spring Into Action

Hello All,

I hope you’re all well! Spring is definitely in the air and I am absolutely loving it. The birds are singing and the trees are blossoming and nature’s rebirth is finally underway. Spring is always a really significant time for me as I struggle a lot with the lack of daylight in the winter. I can be prone to bouts of overwhelm, anxiety and low mood during the darker months and despite finding many ways to deal with it, the first signs of spring are always my most potent markers that the worst is over. Personally I look to the spring as the start of a new year as that’s when I regain my strength and energy and get really excited about putting all of my winter plans into action. March is also the month where I get a spring in my step and head back out onto the pavement for my runs. The combination of moving my body and taking in the fresh air and views really help me to feel invigorated yet rested. I know that’s a bit of a contradiction but it’s my mind that feels rested. The wellbeing benefits of exercising outdoors for me are ten fold! I’ve been extremely busy over the last few weeks with various filming projects and so having the chance to release some work tension pounding the pavement has been a godsend send!!

Alongside filming I’ve been back recording our new series of #inconversation and I have loved every minute of it! Our guests have all been incredible, sharing their expert knowledge, advice and life lessons. The podcast is one of my most favourite pieces of The Capsule as it gives me a very unique opportunity to spend intimate time with brilliant women! If you’re able to tune in please do as we’ve got some cracking chats already available to download including BAFTA winner Sophia Myles, This Morning’s Dr Zoe Williams, Money Mum Gemma Bird and Author of How To Leave Your Psychopath Maddy Anholt. We’ve covered so many topics including pregnancy post 40, toxic relationships, managing depression and savvy saving tips…I really hope you enjoy it all and that you find the conversations helpful in aiding your own personal wellbeing. As always our new podcasts are available to download every Sunday from 8pm or you can watch the video versions right here at The Capsule itself.

We’re also adding to our Capsule Collection in the next few weeks which i’m very excited about! I can’t wait to see what you think of our new pieces….just in time for the holiday season. Well time to get on with our Easter planning now and so i’ll be back soon but in the meantime I hope you enjoy all of our capsule content over the coming weeks.

Much Love

  1. Health & Her Perimenopause Supplement £20.99

I have been using these over the past month alongside the brilliant app that you can download with them and I have to say they’ve been a game changer! For anyone thinking they may be entering perimenopause (symptoms can start from 35 onwards) please try these out. I have more energy, feel more regulated and the app comes with a huge breadth of resources and support!

  2. Stronger by Poorna Bell

This is such a brilliant book! If you have been dealing with any form of grief and need help turning that energy into power then this is the book for you. Parts of it made me cry and parts so uplifted I wanted to get outside and run straight away. Poorna looks at the connection between physical and mental strength and how we can tap into our own reserves in different ways. A must read!

  3. Malako Magnesium Spirulina Bath Salt & Scrub from £24

I am loving this beautiful scrub from Malako. As many of us don’t get enough magnesium and it can be absorbed trans dermally it’s a fantastic two in one treatment that leaves your skin feeling super soft and you refreshed and energised!

This deodorant is filled with so many lovely eco properties. There’s so many other fantastic qualities about Wild that you should definitely check out as they’re a great move away from traditional deodorant sprays that can be filled with chemicals and are difficult to recycle.
