Holidays Are Coming

Hello All!

I hope you’re all well. As we enter a new season we need more than ever to protect our mental health and wellbeing and take time for ourselves. Prioritising our needs isn’t a selfish act but a necessity if we are to have the energy to be all things to all people, especially at Christmas. This is often the time where we go into stimulation overload, working doubly hard to afford days off, indulging in festive parties, creating the ‘perfect’ Christmas for our families and often being reflective about loved ones lost. Our hearts, minds and bodies can become overwhelmed. I know I personally have had a bit of a kick back from my body as I have been under the weather over this last week. I almost knew it was coming though as I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, working, writing and then heading to events PLUS the normal activities of school mum, football mum, running a home and being present as a wife. It’s A LOT and I know many of you understand that feeling of not having enough in the tank! And so it’s been no surprise to me that the computer finally said no! And I’ve had to listen…I’ve been forced to slow down or risk suffering from burnout and then I’m no use to anyone. However stepping back, even after all the work I’ve done with The Capsule is still something of a challenge for me. Even when I should be still I find myself catching something and forming an idea and wanting to act on it, but i’ve had to be strict and cut back and as always I feel better. I’ve got more energy, I’ve had time to get things in order and to prioritise where I truly need to put my focus and so i feel a sense of relief and clarity alongside feeling physically energised. And so I say again, please please do take time for yourself if you’re struggling. Dont run yourself into the ground and get to a point where you feel overwhelmed, stressed and ill. We really do need to take a step back to take a leap forward sometimes….and thats ok! It’s not selfish but a necessity.

With that in mind I hope that our podcast can allow you that little bit of time out for yourself. To pick up helpful advice and tips on how best to avoid burnout and to remember that you deserve as much love and care at this time as anyone else. We have new episodes available to download and watch now

If you’re on our mailing list or a regular to our site you will have noticed that we’ve introduced new pieces into our ongoing Capsule Collection that should have you covered for the festive season. I have loved picking them and will definitely be wearing the gold sequin top and green velvet dress over the holiday season. I hope you like them as much as I do! Also we’ve added a couple of new lines into our beauty collection that will hopefully help you in your self care routine. Our new manifestation, crystal candles from Jill & Ally are gorgeous and perfect as either a gift to yourself or to someone special. We’ve talked before about crystal healing and so we hope these candles bring a little bit of love and light to your home. I’ve put together an edit of some of my go to’s for this season including decorations, glassware and fashion, alongside a couple of life savers in the energy and beauty department. The MPowder peri boost is a game changer! I hope you like it!

Anyway I hope you enjoy all of our new updates and don’t forget to give yourself a breather as the Christmas season ramps up. Remember you can join us over on instagram for weekly capsule updates and to gain lots more lifestyle, and wellbeing inspiration for avoiding burn out, In the meantime I hope you have a great week and speak again very soon.
