Jump to it! - Activewear

Im extremely fussy when it comes to Activewear! The idea of overstretched lyrca leggings that bag at the crotch and shimmy down to your knees as you run terrifies me. I like to feel completely held in, in an almost Spanx type manor, however that doesn’t mean my Activewear should look like Spanx. I want my gymwear to inspire me, to make me feel joyous even if I’m dying whilst doing a full kettlebell workout and so it takes me some time to actually invest in new pieces as getting the balance between style and fit can be a real challenge! However I recently came across this gorgeous two piece set from Slazenger. Totally comfortable yet super stylish with its pink geoprint design it was a bit of a no brainer as a purchase especially as it’s now currently in the sale for £21 for the set! Shop the set below along with a few of my other favourite pieces that are budget friendly and available now.

Shop The Look - Peace + Love

For my birthday this year I went on a girls trip to Manchester. As I was celebrating I wanted to wear something that was fun yet still a little understated and so I opted for this tuxedo style dress from Missguided’s diffusion line Peace + Love. The Tuxedo dress has been a huge hit this year as it strikes a good balance between masculine and feminine tailoring. You can shop my exact dress below with a few of my other favourite takes on the style.

Ocassionwear at Royal Ascot

Ever since Audrey Hepburn's Eliza Dolittle graced Ascot Racecourse dressed in lace and monochrome in the 1964 film My Fair Lady we've had a love affair with the classic combination for high society and occasion dressing. Over 50 years later the trend shows no signs of slowing down.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson have both previously worn all white midi versions to attend Royal Ascot. With a design reminiscent of her fairytale wedding gown, Kate looked to her favourite designer Sarah Burton of Alexander MQueen to dress her for the royal occasion, whilst Eleanor chose emerging design house Three Floor.

Fashion designer Amanda Wakeley chose masculine tailoring (a la Annie Hall) to work the monochrome look whilst Holly Willoughby opted for delicate black and white florals from Finery London accessorised with an intricate Philip Tracey hat and simple sandals.

I created my own Royal Ascot take on the classic combination with this gorgeous lace dress from Maje teamed with black suede courts and a black bespoke hat. I kept the hat quite small and wore my hair up to avoid an overload of black and to allow the dress to be the statement piece.

During London Fashion Week I attended the Aspinal SS18 presentation wearing Australian designer Rebecca Vallance' orange mid length dress. I love the dress not only for its bright colour but for its gorgeous shaping. I teamed the dress with classic black accessories to allow the dress to be the statement piece.

The dark navy colour and thick ribbon belt add a touch of elegance to the edgy shape of the dress and teamed with minimal jewellery and staple black stiletto heels, its the perfect ensemble for a sophisticated yet sexy look.

Pink to Party

I recently attended the launch of Brasserie Abode in Manchester and wore this pretty pink dress from Foxiedox.

I predicted earlier in the year that pink was going to be the colour of the season as we saw a lot of it on the SS17 runways and in true fashion form those looks have filtered down to the high street.

Peonie, blush and pastel colours combined with the structured texture of lace create a look that is feminine and pretty and perfect for summer parties and occasions. Its also a great look for a date night as its much softer than its red counterpart (unless that is you're wanting to go all out vixen...in which case go for head to toe scarlett!).

I particularly love the combination of black and pink as its a great alternative to classic monochrome and creates a nostalgic look as it harks back to the elegant yet fun fashions of the 1960's. Who can forget Jackie Kennedy's love affair with pink!

In keeping with this theme I accessorised my dress with delicate black heels from Sophia Webster and my classic black satin clutch from Lanvin. To finish the look I wore my hair half up in a messy, slightly backcombed topknot with volumous loose curls and finished with winged eyeliner and lashes to pay homage to the classic 60's look.

Shop The Look-Missguided

I recently wore this gorgeous lace mini dress from Missguided to attend the official launch of Missguided's first fragrance Babe Power. Its a great dress for revealing a bit of flesh but sticking to the rule of if you're showcasing your legs you should keep your chest covered. Its also a really great length for a mini dress as its not too short and so extremely wearable. I also love the pale blue colour as it subtly accentuates tanned skin, however it would look equally good on fairer skin tones as the blue is soft and not too harsh.

I wore the dress with my classic Jimmy Choo Anouk shoes in silver to stick to the cool colour way of the dress and also add height and leg length. I kept my hair and make up subtle as I believe the more flesh you reveal the simpler your make up should be to avoid looking too made up. I therefore created a soft low bun with a little height at the crown and allowed front sections to fall neatly around my face to create a relaxed look.

Summer Nights

With temperatures soaring this summer its the perfect excuse to work classic coral and gold hues for a truly tropical look. Combine with beachy waves and ultra bronzed make up and even the most structured prom dress can look more relaxed. I recently wore this Dorothy Perkins Coral Camisole version to an awards event.

I teamed it with my favourite (and comfortable) nude Zara pumps and Swarovski and Accessorize gold jewellery for a summery take on the classic cocktail dress.

Style Staple - The Wrap Dress

Wether you're dressing up, doing the school run or heading to the office, the wrap dress is a style staple that has stood the test of time. From the house dresses of 1940's women to the effortless seventies style of Diane Von Furstenberg, this versatile little number is more popular than ever in the 21st century.

I wore this Dorothy Perkins version on a recent business trip to London. I teamed it with tan accessories for a relaxed summer look although the dress can equally be styled with black patent mary janes and a a black belt to create a vintage inspired office ensemble . Romantic Florals

Florals have been a strong trend for the last few seasons however SS17 sees a more romantic approach to the theme. Ruffles, midi lengths and lightweight fabrics create a more relaxed, bohemian look which is perfect for the vacation season. Twin with rose gold 50's style shades and espadrills for a ladylike take on the trend or go full out festival chic with aviators and gladiator sandals.

Natalie wears the Aster dress from Topshop Unique whilst in Tuscany. Shop it along with our other favourite florals available online and in store now.

As seen on the runway at Chanel, Balmain and Christian Dior its the prettiest colour of the year and can be found in everything from dresses to trousers, jackets and accessories. Work lady like chic with park avenue princess shades and beautiful blush bags for an elegant take on the trend.

Weekend Escape -The Lake District

Spending a weekend in the Lake District can present certain style challenges when you consider the unpredictable nature of the dramatic landscape and its weather. Of course you could just settle for layers of luxurious knitwear teamed with your favourite jeans and boots combo if you plan on cozying up in a country pub for the most part of your stay, however if you're after venturing out and exploring the magnificent terrain then a simple jumper just won't cut it if you have to battle, wind, rain and on occasion snow. You need to be prepared with decent outerwear that will keep you warm in all weathers. However if this conjures up terrifying visions of 1980's style plastic cagoules and unsightly girl guide walking boots then fear not as Berghaus' latest range of womenswear features on trend puffa jackets, weather proof parkas and super cosy fleeces in figure hugging shapes that are sure to keep you super stylish whilst you channel your inner explorer.

Keeping a tonal colour palette of navy, burgundy and khaki these versatile pieces are interchanged and accessorised with classic staples such as the skinny jean, over knee boot and checked shirt, creating a capsule wardrobe to take you from the great outdoors to the warmth of the pub. Monochrome Magic

Im such a huge fan of monochrome, for me it evokes a feeling of timeless elegance inhabited by the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Diane Keaton, Gabrielle Chanel and modern day muse Victoria Beckham. Whether it be for the office, a party or a grand occasion, the combination of black and white creates a look that is clean and sophisticated.

I've worn a number of monochrome outfits whilst presenting items on This Morning with one of my favourites being this white pussybow blouse from Asos teamed with my favourite cropped, ruffle hem black trousers from Zara. I kept my look classic, by pulling my hair into a low ponytail and finishing off with lace up black stilettos and a dark statement lip to add a little drama.
